About Forrest Ingram

Forrest L. Ingram, the founder and president of the professional service corporation Forrest L. Ingram, P.C., began concentrating in bankruptcy law in 1981 as an independent associate of J. Barton Kalish & Associates, a bankruptcy boutique firm. From 1981 through 1984, he handled every aspect of bankruptcy – chapters 7, 13, and 11. At the same time, he built up a practice in civil litigation and appeals.

From 1984 to 1986, he worked as an independent associate of Mark R. Ordower & Associates, handling numerous bankruptcy and civil litigation matters for his own clients as well as for those of the Ordower firm. In November 1986, he joined the renamed firm of J. Barton Kalish & Colleagues, again concentrating primarily on bankruptcy matters. In January 1994, Mr. Ingram founded Forrest L Ingram, P.C. He began adding attorneys to the Firm in 1996, among them Julie A. Boynton, and the Firm eventually grew to five attorneys. After a period of attrition and retrenching during 1999 and 2000, the Firm began growing in 2001 with the addition of Martin B. Tucker.

The Firm’s motto, “Friendly and Professional”, describes how the attorneys and staff at Forrest L. Ingram, P.C., view the services they perform for clients. The Firm has experienced that clients are often uneasy, upset, anxious, doubtful, angry, or at sea when they seek the Firm’s help. The Firm’s lawyers and staff seek to put each client at ease, to listen attentively and respectfully to what the client says, to understand what the client’s problems with exacting professionalism, analyzing the facts and researching relevant law in order to devise the best strategy for achieving the client’s goals. The Firm will tell the client what it believes the client can and cannot achieve by legal action. The Firm does not advise clients to undertake any legal action which it does not believe will be effective and financially beneficial. The Firm’s attorneys and clerks maintain strict time records of services offered at an hourly rate, and attach detailed time sheets to invoices so that the client may clearly understand for what services he or she is being charged. The Firm keeps the client informed of the status and progress of his or her case, and always seeks the client’s approval of any settlement or other action affecting the outcome of the client’s matter.
